Juststandout lights up Little Saints Orphanage

July  1, 2011

Press Release

Little Saints Orphanage, a not-for-profit organisation focused on bringing succour to abandoned and orphaned children, will have its expenditure on power drastically reduced with the intervention of Juststandout, an alternative power solutions and energy consultancy. The orphanage has been fitted with power solutions that will generate the equivalent of 5kva electric power, thereby providing uninterrupted and adequate energy to power the home.

The solutions consist of a 2kw inverter with eight 200amps Juststandout brand batteries, 20 energy light bulbs and Juststand Ice Battery. These solutions will provide lighting for the home as well as energy to refrigerate foodstuff and other items that require preservation for a length of time. Importantly, these solutions will save the orphanage considerable capital outlay in meeting its energy needs, says Mr. Joseph Inyang, Technical Director, Juststandout.

“The donation of these solutions to Little Saints Orphanage is in line with our vision of helping organisations meet their need for regular power supply at a cost that is affordable and the solutions environmentally friendly. We see the great work Little Saints Orphanage is doing in our society, and we believe that by helping them reduce their overheads, especially their power outlay, it will be better placed to serve the children it is currently catering for, and perhaps even more children,” he added.

Homes, businesses and other organisations typically expend huge resources in providing power to meet their needs. With the escalating cost of procuring power generating systems, cost of fuel as well maintaining generators, overheads of many organisations have become unbearable. With Juststandout solutions, the power outlay could be significantly reduced to manageable levels.

Rev. (Mrs.) Christiana Bamidele George, Founder Little Saints Orphanage, said the donation will impact on the philanthropic service she is providing to the society.  “Juststandout’s contribution is timely because of the increasing cost of diesel to run the generators and increased grid power blackouts. I’m delighted that the donation also provides our children with a home in which they can be comfortable, happy, relaxed, have fun and carry out many activities that require power,” she enthused.

Continuing: “We are eternally grateful for your support . It redounds to the golry of God and it will yield an abundant harvest to you in Jesus mighty name, Amen. Thank you and God bless you. Little Saints rejoice in your kindness and look forward to your continous love and support.”

The solutions are fitted with battery rack, accessories, complete electrical installations and a warranty to ensure that the equipment function optimally for the benefit of the orphanage.

Mr. Inyang said the energy challenge of emerging markets, particularly Nigeria’s, requires solutions that are both innovative and cost effective. “The Juststandout Living Solutions call for designing or renovating energy systems within a structure to minimize energy consumption, so we are better able to meet the people’s energy goals. Juststandout works directly with the individual or architect to provide full mechanical and electrical services.  We are pleased to see that in homes, businesses and on roads (streetlights) across Nigeria, this concept is helping to deliver uninterrupted energy supply. Some of the ideas within this concept can be implemented with little or no investment,” he said.
